If you are searching for an Endless Ragnarok roadmap, Cygames has now confirmed more than it had in early September, but it still has not published a conventional dated roadmap. As of October 2, 2026, Ver. 2.0.6 is live, free updates are planned, and six paid character skins are scheduled to begin releasing in December 2026, two at a time. The exact skin characters, individual release dates, and details of the free updates remain unannounced.
That distinction matters. A short official notice can quickly turn into a much larger list of supposed “confirmed” features once clips, translations, wish lists, and community speculation circulate together. This page keeps those categories separate. If Cygames has announced something, it appears under Confirmed. If a change has already arrived in a released patch, it appears under Already delivered. Anything without an official announcement remains Unconfirmed, even if it sounds plausible.

Confirmed September 17 roadmap signal: free updates and six paid skins
Cygames' September 17 announcement confirms six paid character skins. They are scheduled to begin releasing in December 2026, with two skins released at a time.
The same announcement also says free updates are planned. That is now the strongest official forward-looking signal for Endless Ragnarok. However, Cygames has not yet named the six target characters, given exact dates for each skin pair, or explained the contents and timing of the free updates.
This is enough to mark future support as confirmed, but not enough to invent a patch number, balance list, new boss, new story chapter, or playable-character roadmap.
Confirmed: more fixes and balance work are planned
Cygames published its “Notice about the Next Update” on August 14. The message acknowledges known issues and says the team intends to address them through future updates. It also identifies three balance-related areas under review: character gameplay, MSP gain, and game balance.
Those are useful signals, but they are not patch notes. The notice does not identify every character that will be adjusted, give exact MSP values, promise a specific quest rebalance, or provide a launch date. Until a numbered update page supplies those details, the safest interpretation is simply that these areas are active development targets.
For players, that means you should be cautious about making expensive long-term decisions based on the assumption that today's most efficient farm or strongest interaction will remain identical. It does not mean you should stop upgrading characters or hoard every resource. Build around content you are actually clearing now, and keep enough flexibility to retest your setup when a new patch lands.
Already delivered: Ver. 2.0.5 and Ver. 2.0.6
The August notice was followed first by Ver. 2.0.5 on August 28 and then by Ver. 2.0.6 on September 17. Version 2.0.6 adds the Versus: Rising save-data bonus and targeted quest/sigil fixes, while 2.0.5 remains the bigger balance and MSP/progression update.
What Ver. 2.0.5 already delivered
There is an important timeline detail when reading the August 14 notice today: Ver. 2.0.5 was released later, on August 28. Some of the areas mentioned in the notice were therefore addressed at least in part before this page was last verified.
The clearest example is MSP. Version 2.0.5 increased the maximum MSP that can be held from 999,999 to 9,999,999 and increased MSP rewards for Chaos++ quests and Defy Infinity. The patch also included character-related fixes and adjustments, including changes involving Fediel and Gallanza, alongside fixes for quests and The Conflux.
This is why we do not describe every item in the August 14 notice as a promise for one still-unreleased patch. Some work has already shipped. The notice is better understood as evidence that Cygames was reviewing a broader set of issues and balance concerns, with Ver. 2.0.5 representing one subsequent delivery rather than necessarily the end of that work.
If your main concern was the old MSP cap or poor MSP returns in high-end activities, check the current patch-notes guide before waiting for another update. The change you wanted may already be live.
What is not confirmed
As of this verification, Cygames has not used the next-update notice to confirm any of the following:
- a release date for the next numbered patch;
- a version number or release date for the next free update after 2.0.6;
- another set of playable characters;
- a new Conflux cycle;
- a new difficulty above the currently documented progression;
- a second expansion;
- a new story chapter after the currently released Endless Ragnarok content;
- a formal season-style roadmap.
These are exactly the kinds of ideas that can become attractive search headlines, but adding them to a “roadmap” without a primary source would make the page less useful. When an official announcement appears, we will move the relevant item from unknown to confirmed and link directly to its source.
What should character players watch for?
The phrase “character gameplay” is broad. It could cover balance values, behavior, input handling, bugs, or other character-specific adjustments. Cygames did not provide a roster list in the August 14 notice, so there is no defensible official “next buff/nerf list” yet.
Version 2.0.5 shows why waiting for the detailed notes matters. That update contains concrete character-specific information that can be acted on, whereas the earlier notice only described the category of work. If you main one of the newer characters, especially a character mentioned in the current patch history, test the released version first rather than changing your build in anticipation of an unspecified future adjustment.
For current investment decisions, use the Ver. 2.0.5 tier list. For normal Crewmate Card decisions, use the character unlock-order guide. This page stays focused on what is changing next.
What should endgame players watch for?
MSP and game-balance adjustments are particularly relevant once you are working on Master Traits and high-end progression. Version 2.0.5 has already made MSP storage and certain high-end MSP rewards more generous, so old farming advice written around the 999,999 cap can be outdated.
The next useful official signal would be a numbered update page explaining whether Cygames plans further MSP reward changes, Master Trait tuning, quest reward changes, or character balance adjustments. Until that exists, compare your current farming route against the live game rather than optimizing for an imagined future economy.
For progression mechanics themselves, continue to the Endless Ragnarok systems hub. It covers the released systems; this article deliberately avoids turning existing features into supposed roadmap items.
How we will update this roadmap page
We use a simple evidence rule so that this page does not become a rumor tracker:
- Official News or Updates page: enough to mark a feature, fix, date, or adjustment as confirmed.
- Official trailer or developer broadcast: usable when the announcement is explicit and the context is clear.
- Store listing: useful for released products, platforms, pricing, and availability, but not for guessing future patches.
- Community posts, datamines, creator predictions, and forum discussions: useful for discovering questions players have, but not enough to label a future feature confirmed.
We also distinguish an announcement from a release. Once a numbered patch goes live, its details move into the updates hub and patch-notes history. This page then stays focused on whatever remains ahead.
Should you wait for the next update before playing?
For most players, no. Endless Ragnarok's major systems are already available, and the current version includes several post-launch fixes. Waiting only makes sense if a known issue directly blocks the activity you want to play or if you are deciding whether to spend a scarce resource on a setup that Cygames has explicitly said will change.
A better approach is to play the current version, avoid overcommitting based on old launch-week advice, and recheck the official notes when a new version appears. If you are returning after a break, start with the latest updates hub so you can see what changed while you were away.
Latest verification
This page was rechecked on October 2, 2026. Ver. 2.0.6 is live as of September 17, and Cygames has separately confirmed that free updates are planned plus six paid character skins beginning in December 2026, two at a time. The specific skin characters, detailed free-update contents, and the next numbered version/date remain unannounced.
